Research
The research that CReSIS does is critical to collecting much needed data relative to ice sheets and the rapid changes they are undergoing. Our data is essential to understanding the processes that are causing rapid changes on earth, to the development of improved ice sheet models to simulate how ice sheets will respond to a warming climate, and to predicting what is contributing to sea-level rise. All of this is compromised with the help of sophisticated sensors, field programs, uninhabited aircraft systems, publications to get the word out, satellites, maps and additional projects such as our PRISM and Anechoic Chamber.

Field Programs
CReSIS does not only develop field technology, but uses it too. Learn about how these are used on missions in Antarctica and Greenland.
