On Beyond Kansas

CReSIS conducts field work to collect data on land/sea ice and snow depth. Missions are both airborne( manned and unmanned) or surface based. The center partners with NASA, NSF and NOAA and other universities around with world for airborne( manned and unmanned) or surface based field work. Faculty, staff, and students work long hours preparing for and during deployments. In 2019 CReSIS participated in 5 missions and collected over XX TB of data.
